Collaborising and South Florida’s Black Professionals Network presents Understanding Us | Black Men Unplugged, a grassroots journey inside the minds of a diverse panel of black men.
Onstage, opening up for mothers, girlfriends, wives and the brothers in attendance will be men like Jerome Hutchinson Jr., president of ICABA, Richard Way III, founder of Urban Miami, Dr. Nkume Sobe Jr., of Sobe Innovative Rehabilitation, Gordon Eric Knowles, president and CEO of the Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce, Professor William Ashanti Hobbs, Dept. Chair at Florida Memorial University and Velton Showell III, president of Strategic Solutions. The panel will be moderated by Professor Rudy Jean-Bart, professor at Broward College.
By digging into how many black men are wired, for better and for worse, Understanding Us | Black Men Unplugged aims to positively impact relationships between black husbands and their wives, black boys and their mothers, black boyfriends and girlfriends and ultimately between black men and women.
Men, women and young adults are invited to join us for this crucial conversation. Collaborising is a 501(c)(3) organization designed to promote the advancement of underserved communities. Donations received support the ongoing efforts of this project. Contact Lea Murray at 954-736-8343 for Sponsorship Opportunities.

Event Cancellation by SFBPN
SFBPN reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for an individual ticket is three business days (72 hours) before the event.

All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder. Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be issued by check.

Advertising Cancellation & Refund Policy
Due to the nature of placing a classified ad online, we do not generally offer refunds on listing fees. Once an ad is posted, the advertisement will immediately gain exposure to our visitors, however, no guarantees are made as to the success of the advertisement.
We adhere to the following policy with respect to requests for refunds of listing fees:
We will not provide a refund, for any reason, once the advertisement has been published. Advertisements cancelled prior to publishing will be refunded in full.
Due to the type of advertising sold online, no prorated refunds will be made for any ad cancelled following the first publication.
Advertising should be checked for errors by the advertiser on the first day of publication. Credit for Publisher’s errors in advertisements will be allowed for the first insertion.
No typographical mistakes by the advertiser will be considered for adjustment and no credit is made for errors that do not materially affect the value of the advertisement.
No refunds are offered to advertisers who wish to cancel enhancements to an ad posting after the advertisement has been published the first time in print, online or both.
Approved refunds for credit card transactions will be made as credits to the credit card account used in the initial transaction.
Publisher reserves the right to edit, classify, reject or cancel any portion or all advertising as determined in the publishers sole discretion. Any advertising language that does not comply with Federal, State or local laws including, without limitation, those regarding the prohibition of discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodation will be rejected.
